I had a great meat-up last night with long time tumblr friend R2Witco. He was in Idaho to shear a few alpacas, so we met with Tea N’ Toast for some beers and snacks at a local pub.
Whit’ is a delightful creative who is a major Star Wars geek, owning over 1,500 stormtrooper models which he often photographs. After a recent divorce he has been touring the country and is someday hoping to purchase his own Stormtrooper uniform.
Topics we discussed ranged from the rise of Instagram Eternal September & Tumblr, my childhood Jawa costume, Whit’ losing two jobs because he was Distracted by Star Wars, old hippy friends, and his grim satisfaction at the death of Whitney Houston, among other things.
Whit’ is a bright and earnest conversationalist who had me in stitches, if he ever shows up in your area, give him a place to sleep.(some of you may not know that I’m an editor for Troopas & Rebel Alliance)
I had a great time! Meeting fellow fans of The Wars is one of my favorite things. I actually only have 50 or 60 stormtroopers, but do have about 1,500 figures all together ;)
