Do you know where everyone on the internet get their stormtrooper helmets? I really want one..

Honestly, no. I’m sure you can find them around, I just did a quick ebay search when I read your question and found a few. Let me just warn you that a good one is NOT gonna be cheap. I had one about 13 years ago, that I picked up at Spencer’s - that place in the mall. It wasn’t the best one around, but it got the job done, and only ran me about $40. I would see if you can get a hold of someone from your local garrison of the 501st. These are pros, and from the couple of encounters I’ve had, really cool people. I’m sure they would be able to point you in the right direction. Who knows they may even help you make your own suit and maybe one day you can join their ranks!

Here’s a snippet from the Golden Gate Garrison’s FAQ:

Q: I really like your costumes. Where do I buy one?
A: The costumes displayed are the result of careful research, fabrication and a lot of hard work. The majority of our costume components are hand built and assembled in our spare time. Certain talented artisans across the country provide limited kits and other scratch built pieces for those components that are relatively difficult to fabricate. Given that the likenesses portrayed by these costumes are copyrighted images, however, it must be stressed that there are no businesses that sell complete Star Wars costumes. Also, it must be further noted that the 501st Legion does not provide or manufacture costumes for purchase. The most common available item is the stormtrooper “kit”, which contains all the hard plastic armor components necessary to assemble a stormtrooper costume. This item was once sold through various providers. However, due to the potential liability associated with selling such an item, it is no longer in production. Kits do turn up privately on eBay and other costuming boards. A little persistence online is usually what it takes to get started on a great costume. Potential members seeking information on armor, props or other associated costumes feel free to contact our Command Staff. They will be happy to direct you to whatever sources that are currently available.

I hope that helps in some way. If you do get one, send me a picture for the blog!

My girlfriend and I are going to watch all six of the movies in the course of the week (She's never seen any of them ( I know, I know, but I see it as an honor,)). What order would you recommend watching them in? I would say in the narrative order, rather than the order I saw the in but the older ones might keep her interested longer. What do you think?

You should see this opportunity as an honor, you get to introduce her to wonderful thing that we all know an love.

This question has come up before, and I really don’t have a straightforward answer for you, but I’ll do my best. I think you should show them in the order that they came out, IV, V, VI then I, II, III. There are a couple reasons I believe this, and not because I like the originals better. I say this because I think the originals are more engaging, and leave you wanting to know more - that’s where the prequels come in. Seeing them in this order also doesn’t ruin the plot twist at the end of Empire where Vader reveals that he is Luke’s father - tho your girlfriend probably already knows this fact, but so what. I also think seeing the originals first makes Vader more mysterious and thus scarier. Last reason I’m gonna give for this order (since I really need to get back to work) is that you save her the exposure to Jar Jar until later. It’s gonna happen, but why do it first thing.

Hope that helps, have a great time, and may the Force be with you both!

Please come back after your done and leave a comment on this post, I’d love to hear how it went and what she thought.

I’m pretty sure I posted that while this blog was still in it’s infancy. It is cute, here’s another:

These pictures are by Powerpig. Not only is he a friend to the animals, but also an amazing photographer. You really should check out the rest of his pictures, especially the Critters set for more chipmunk cuteness.

On that note, here he is with “Buddi”

Do you have any idea where I can get an authentic jango fett helmet? I plan on wearing one with a suit this halloween and I don't wanna get that cheap crap.

I don’t know specifically where to find an authentic Jango Fett helmet, but here are few leads I found for you…

  1. Says it is ‘an officially licensed Star Wars helmet’
  2. 2 Piece Helmet from EE
  3. ‘Supreme’ Jango Fett Mask
  4. ‘Deluxe’ Jango Fett Mask

While I can’t talk from experience here, #1 and #3 look to be the best of those 4. Worst case, you could go to Target and pick the Boba Fett helmet and repaint that. It’s not that expensive and looks to be a pretty good one. Good luck, I hope some of that helps. Please send me a picture of finished costume, I’d love to see it.

Okay, I've asked this question about a zillion times in the past...

What is your favorite Star Wars Quote of all time?

Han Solo: “It’s not my fault.”

<3 the blog.
Question of great importance! I want to be a Sith Lord for halloween (inspired by Darth Talon) with my own take on her of course. I just wanted to know if you knew where I could buy a legit black (jedi) robe or a simple way to make one (preferably without sewing hahaha).
Thanks in advance :)

My suggestion would be to try the Google. I did a quick search and found a few options. This one from jedi-robe.com seems to be just what you’re looking for:

Good luck with the costume, please send pictures.

That goes for anyone dressing up Star Wars this Halloween, please send me pics of your costumes. I’d love to see them, and maybe I can do something creative with them for the site.

What's your favorite lightsaber style? and what color(s)?

I really like the style that Luke and Obi Wan had for their second sabers. I guess that also leads to your second question, because I really can’t decide between a blue or green one.
